University Kids offers the ideal first experience away from home and the best preparation for Kindergarten. We believe the first years of a child’s life is the most important period and your child’s social, emotional and educational needs are met through a wholistic approach involving a research based curriculum, a welcoming environment, and authentic relationships.

The University Kids curriculum encourages positives feelings towards learning, leads to a solid foundation of knowledge and skills essential for school readiness, and supports scholars’ milestones in how they play, learn, speak, behave, and move in independent and collaborative settings.

Our scholars feel like they belong, they are confident, and uplifted to their highest potential. We provide experiences that promote feelings of success, competence, and enjoyment of learning. We understand that each scholar is unique in their own right and cultivate scholars’ individuality through self exploration and inquiry in a safe and care free environment.

We want to establish a healthy relationship with all stakeholders. We have an open door policy and encourage parents to have a familiar presence on campus. We promote a positive teacher-student relationship by building trust, accepting the uniqueness of each child, and making University Kids a safe place to be oneself. University Kids uses P.A.L.S as a Positive Behavior Intervention System in order to undo the unwanted behavior and practice and support the desired behavior. It is a proactive approach that decreases behavior problems, increase academic success, ensures safety, and establishes a positive learning environment. Our scholars learn the socially acceptable behaviors in which they are directly taught or modeled, regularly practiced in the classroom, and supported by frequent positive reinforcements.
